Wildwood woman arrested after allegedly stabbing boyfriend in fight over child care

A 34-year-old Wildwood woman is facing a charge of aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend during an argument about child care.

Chameika Lashawn Pryor was being held without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center following the incident shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 400 block of York Street, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

Police officers, the fire department and EMS personnel arrived on the scene after receiving a 911 call. She confessed to stabbing the victim in the back of the head in an overhand motion, according to the arrest report.
