I will keep my little white cross until someone tells me I am no longer in America

To the Editor:

Who’s to say that someone is not worshiping the birds, frogs, elephants, sun dials or whatever one decides to adorn their front yard with? I find it very disturbing to have anyone tell me I cannot display a little white cross on MY front lawn in America! Our country was founded on that very one principal. Freedom of religion and freedom of speech. If the head of The Villages wants to pick and choose what must be removed, then there should not be one thing on any front lawn that is not growing. I had to look at a horrible mini golf course on a front lawn in my Village for several years. It is gone now but not because of restrictions, but because the owners removed it. And by the way there were many complaints. I believe The Villages is in America, so I will keep my little white cross until someone tells me I am no longer in America.
