William Dale West, of The Villages, FL, born December 2, 1946 in Akron, Ohio, a 2003 Gift of Life recipient passed away on July 25, 2016. He is predeceased by his father Sayer Chester West and mother Mary Louise Shelby West.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Deborah West; sister Judith Beahn of SC; and cousins Robert Smith of FL and Carolyn Barnard of MI; and survived by Carmen Larranaga of IN, Gift of Life Donor. Bill proudly served in the United States Army and retired from the United States Postal Service, Fort Wayne, IN. Bill was a fun-loving friend of The Villages. He was known by many as he made his way around in his golf cart spreading kindness.
A gathering will take place at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. with an Inurnment at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 11 a.m. In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be given to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162 and or the Kidney Foundation, 1040 Woodcock Road, Suite 119, Orlando, FL 32803.
