William Gregory ‘Bill’ Bottcher

William Gregory “Bill” Bottcher of Summerfield, FL, passed away May 15, 2017 after a battle with brain cancer. He was 53.

Bill was born on June 7, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois. He attended St. Jerome School through the 7th grade, after which the Bottcher family relocated to Palm Beach County in 1976. A year later he completed his grammar school studies at St. Francis of Assisi school. Bill attended Cardinal Newman High School where he excelled in football and wrestling before graduating in 1981. He attended the University of Florida and earned a bachelor’s degree in 1987. Soon after he began a career in sales and eventually worked his way to Senior Account Executive at Clovis & Roche, Inc.

In 2008 Bill moved to Summerfield, Florida, to care for his mother Betty, who soon after was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Bill was his mother’s chief caregiver and guardian until her passing last year.

Bill attended St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Summerfield, where he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Bill is preceded into death by Betty and his father Harry. He is survived by sisters Lisa and Kathleen (Oranges) of West Palm Beach, and brother Timothy of Tallahassee.

Service arrangements Mary Immaculate Church (adjacent to Cardinal Newman High School) 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 10th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cardinal Newman Scholarship Fund, 512 Spencer Drive, West Palm Beach, FL 33409
