William ‘Will’ Daniel Broccolo Sr.

William “Will” Daniel Broccolo, Sr., age 84, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017. He was born in Locust Valley, NY on January 25, 1933.

He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. During his life, Will worked as a Union Sheet Metal Mechanic. He also worked the weekends at his brothers butcher shop in Locust Valley, NY. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. He got along with everyone and was noted for his dry sense of humor. William was a member of St Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages, FL where he was involved with the Knights of Columbus, was an usher and helped with Bingo. He moved to Florida from Farmingville, NY in 1994.

He is survived by his wife Josephine Broccolo; sons William Broccolo, Jr, Robert Broccolo and Michael Broccolo; daughters Joanne James, Christine Cauley, Janine Reithel and Lori Ann Dasilva; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL 32159 on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 3 – 5 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, The Villages, FL 32159 on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
