Wisconsin-based Culver’s to build first restaurant in Central Florida

Wisconsin-based restaurant chain Culver’s will soon have its first Central Florida location.

The down-home restaurant famous for the Butter Burger will be located in Clermont at the corner of Johns Lake Road and U.S. 27.

Local businessman Mike Ladisa just purchased 1.29 acres for $830,000 to build his franchise location of the brand.

The location already as a Wawa store, Walmart and other retail anchors.

Culver’s has 530 restaurants in the U.S. The first one in Florida broke ground in Naples in April 2013. There are more in Port Charlotte, Fort Myers and Sarasota. Craig Culver, co-founder and CEO of Culver’s, told the Sarasota News-Press that he vacationed in southwest Florida and that more expansion in Florida was anticipated.
