A 25-year-old Lady Lake woman was arrested after she allegedly tried to conceal $141 worth of items in her purse and walk out of Wal-Mart without paying for them.
Tausha Lee Aceituno walked into the store Thursday afternoon at Buffalo Ridge shopping plaza and put the items from the cosmetic and automotive sections into her pink purse, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s office. She tried to exit the store through the garden section, the report indicated. She was confronted by a loss prevention officer and a deputy was called at 2:45 p.m.
Aceituno, who has no prior criminal history, is now facing a charge of petit theft. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $500 bond.
