A 29-year-old woman was arrested after she burned the clothes and shoes of her cheating, live-in boyfriend.
Tasha Nicole Hemlock was arrested Thursday night on felony charges of battery and criminal mischief at the home she shares with the man on County Road 154A in Wildwood.
Hemlock has been in a relationship with the man for several years and they have two children. The man admitted to a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy that Hemlock had torched his clothes because he “has been seeing another female,” according to the arrest report.
In addition, Hemlock reportedly threw soda cans and an empty one-gallon gasoline can at her boyfriend.
Hemlock told the deputy she had been burning “miscellaneous items.”
She had been convicted of battery in 2010.
She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $4,000 bond.
