Woman arrested on DUI charge after drinking at Margarita Republic

A 21-year-old woman was arrested in The Villages after she had been drinking at Margarita Republic in Spanish Springs Town Square.

Rebecca Michelle Reeves of Weirsdale was pulled over at 2:50 a.m. Sunday after she allegedly ran a stop sign at the intersection of Dunkirk Trail and Barnsdale Run, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Detention Center.

When the deputy asked Reeves if she had been drinking, she replied she had “three or four beers” at Margarita Republic.

She failed field sobriety tests. She was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $1,000.
