A 41-year-old woman arrested last year after she fled Belk with Ralph Lauren Polo men’s boxer briefs, Anne Klein jewelry and an Izod sweater concealed in her purse, has landed back behind bars.

Danielle Devereaux was booked Tuesday afternoon on multiple probation violations at the Sumter County Detention Center. She was being held without bond.

Back in 2015, a Villages’ Belk loss prevention officer attempted to detain Devereaux, who got into her car. She told the loss prevention officer she was sorry and already on probation, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. Devereaux got out of her car and then kicked the loss prevention officer. She then fled to Wendy’s on Bichara Boulevard and hid in the women’s restroom.

She was arrested on charges of retail theft and resisting a merchant. She also faced a charge of violating her probation out of North Carolina.
