An Ocala woman who sang the alphabet during field sobriety exercises that were part of a traffic stop was arrested early Friday morning on a drunk driving charge.
Sara Lynn Dobrzykowski, 37, was at the wheel of a blue Hyundai that was speeding and unlawfully went through a red light on SE 58th Avenue, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. She was pulled over in the lot of a Circle K service station.
It appeared that Dobrzykowski and the three passengers in her car had been drinking, the report indicated. She later admitted she had consumed three Crown Royal and Cokes. She added that they had been “doubles.”
She struggled through field sobriety exercises including the heel-to-toe and one-legged stand portions. When she was asked to recite the alphabet, she sang it and did not keep her eyes closed as instructed.
She provided breath samples that registered .135 and .143 blood alcohol content.
She was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence, ticketed for running a red light and issued a written warning for speeding.
She was booked at the Marion County Jail on $1,000 bond.
