Woman sentenced to jail time after attempting to steal electronics at Target

A 38-year-old Ocala woman has been sentenced to jail time after attempting to steal electronics last month from Target at Rolling Acres Plaza.

Angela Kemerly

Angela M. Kemerly, 38, of Ocala, was spotted loading electronics into a large purse while Nicholas A. Rosenbrier, 38, also of Ocala, acted as a lookout at the store at Rolling Acres Plaza, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

A loss prevention officer approached the pair as they left the store with the merchandise. They fled in the direction of Kay Jewelers.

Lady Lake police joined in the chase and found the pair hiding in the bathroom of a nearby store.

The items taken had a value of $398.39. Both were arrested on charges of grand theft. Rosenbrier was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Last week in Lake County Court, Kemerly pleaded no contest in the case. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail. She was given the option of serving the sentence at the Marion County Jail. She was given credit for 16 days already served.

The case against Rosenbrier is still pending.
