A woman who was slapped by a man at her home in Orange Blossom Hills in Summerfield was urged by a deputy responding to the call to obtain a domestic violence injunction.
The woman contacted law enforcement and reported that a man who had been heavily intoxicated the night before slapped her Tuesday morning during an ongoing dispute, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman had told the man he needed to move out, the report indicated. He became angry, shoved her and slapped her in the face.
While the deputy was at the woman’s home, the man called the woman’s phone. He called the woman a liar and said he was not coming back to the residence.
The deputy encouraged the woman to seek protection from the man through the court system.
