Woman with stolen driver’s license, forged check flees local bank after clerk calls 911

A woman with what appeared to be a stolen driver’s license attempted to cash a forged check Thursday morning at a local bank.

A woman pulled into the drive-through at 11:41 a.m. at the Spruce Creek branch of Community Bank & Trust of Florida at 11220 SE 179th Place in Summerfield.

It was clear that the woman trying to cash the check did not match the photograph of the woman on the driver’s license, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman drove away when bank personnel went to call 911. She left the check and the driver’s license behind.
