Woman’s vehicle seized, towed after traffic stop for headlight out

A woman’s vehicle was seized and towed after a traffic stop for a headlight that was not working.

Victoria Elizabeth Couch, 27, of Lady Lake, was pulled over at 11:10 p.m. July 25 at County Road 25 and Oak Street, according to a report from the Lady Lake Police Department. When the officer asked for her driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance, Couch told the officer she was unable to produce the documents because she had just picked up the 2007 four-door Infinity from her estranged husband. The officer discovered that Couch’s driver’s license had been suspended as of May 16 and a seize tag order had been placed on the vehicle by the state of Florida.

She was issued a criminal citation and ordered to appear in court on Aug. 16. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
