World of Beer grand opening anything but cold and frosty

World of Beer officially opens its doors today at Brownwood Paddock Square.
World of Beer officially opens its doors today at Brownwood Paddock Square.

You usually would use the words “cold” and “frosty” to describe beer.

But World of Beer’s grand opening in Brownwood Paddock Square might actually employ one of the dreaded beer words — warm.

It was friendly. It was hospitable.

People felt at home.

And what’s better in that situation? A cold beer.

“When you come into World of Beer, we want you to be comfortable in the atmosphere and be impressed with the selection of draft beer and 500 types of beer in our coolers,” said Brownwood World of Beer General Manager Adam Fisher.

The beautiful new facility includes a wrap-around patio which is going to provide the perfect place to relax on a summer day.

Live music will be featured at World of Beer. But on game day, the focus will be on football.

“This is the perfect place to come and watch the game,” Fisher said.

The menu will include delicious tavern fare and, of course, there will be big screen TVs.

On Wednesday, World of Beer will hold its first Brewery Night. The event kicks off at 5 p.m.  It will feature eight delicious Terrapin beers on tap, including some year round favorites such as Rye Pale Ale and Hopsecutioner. There will be raffles for some Terrapin beer swag as well.

Regular business hours are 11:30 -midnight. People under 21 are welcome before 7 p.m. every night.

Brownwood’s World of Beer is equipped with Wifi.

The first World of Beer opened in 2007 in the community of Westchase in Tampa.
