Zephyrhills woman seriously injured when her lawn mower struck by vehicle

A 56-year-old Zephyrhills woman was seriously injured Wednesday morning when the lawn mower she was riding was struck by a vehicle.

Linda C. Gundaker had been mowing when a 2007 Suzuki Vitara driven by Joel Caphart, 70, of Dade City, left the roadway and struck her and her mower, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The mower burst into flames as a result of the collision.

Gundaker was transported to Dade City Hospital. Caphart suffered minor injuries and was also transported to Dade City Hospital.
