MNF: Philadelphia Eagles – 33, Washington Redskins – 27

The first Monday Night Football game of the season featured a matchup between Michael Vick and Philadelphia Eagles and Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins. Chip Kelly made his NFL debut (after leaving Oregon University to accept the head coaching position with the Eagles) with a bang, accruing over 50 plays in the first half while tallying 26 points and a 19 point lead. All night it seemed as though the Redskins were shaking off the rust. Griffin was sacked or pressured multiple times throughout the game, and Alfred Morris (RB) had a couple of early, costly turnovers, including a safety in the first quarter.
