COOL CELTS SURVIVE HEAT 21-20; ILCHISIN/OAR PROVIDE HOT BATS

Manager Don Barry was feeling pretty confident taking a Celtic (3-1) 18-10 lead into the seventh inning, but Bob Durham’s Heat had other ideas.  The Heat rallied for ten runs and a 20-18 advantage.  But enter Bill Oar.  With the bases loaded and two outs, Mr. Oar delivered a walkoff winning triple. Bill had five hits with three doubles, a triple and seven rbi’s for the day.  Frank Ilchisin also had five hits, and George Koblas cracked a double, a triple with four ribbies for winning pitcher Bill Bonk.

John Smeby had a perfect five for five performance while Tony Santangelo and Tom Schmeltzer smacked four hits apiece for the Heat (0-3).
