Deputies investigating theft of golf clubs from Village of Tall Trees garage

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a set of golf clubs from the garage of a Welcome Way residence in the Village of Tall Trees.

A male and two females were in the vicinity in a blue SUV when one or more of the individuals at about 1 p.m. Monday entered the garage and took a set of golf clubs, said Lt. Nehemiah Wolfe.

The garage door had been left open and the homeowner was apparently unaware of what had happened, although a neighbor did notice, Wolfe said.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office at 689-4600.
