Francis P. Conrad, 80, a resident of Water Oak in Lady Lake, Florida passed away on June 18, 2014 in the embrace of his wife, Susanne J. Conrad, and surrounded by his children. Fran was a Special Education teacher in Medina, NY where he taught for 37 years. He was very active in community and school activities: announcing football games, coaching swimming and was an enthusiastic band booster for the Medina Mustang Band. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sue; and his children: Francis P. Conrad, Jr (wife Lisa) of Hendersonville, TN; Dennis Conrad of Largo, FL; Michele Stamp (husband Mitchell) of Batavia, NY; Helaine Wright (husband Michael) of Stafford, NY; Heather Miles (husband Todd) of Holley, NY; along with 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Viewing hours will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home (134 N. Hwy 27/441) on Sunday June 22, 2014 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 8:30 am at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, Lady Lake, FL 32159. Fran served in the Marine Corps for 10 years and will be interred at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with full military honors. A memorial service will be planned and held for family and friends in Medina, NY at a later date.
