80-year-old man dies at hospice four days after auto accident in Marion County

An 80-year-old Ocala man died at hospice Sunday as the result of an accident in which he was injured four days earlier.

Bruce C. Waterman died late Sunday night at Sylvia’s House at the Hopsice of Marion.

He had been transported by Marion County Fire Rescue to Ocala Regional Medical Center from the scene of the accident on County Road 464 at the driveway of a U.S. Post Office, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Waterman’s vehicle had collided with a 1999 Acura Legend driven by 19-year-old Christopher Adam Mann, also of Ocala.

Mann suffered minor injuries in the accident and was treated at ORMC.
