A 19-year-old Wildwood woman was arrested after she allegedly stole an iPhone 6 from a patient at Villages Rehab in Lady Lake.

A patient reported the theft of her iPhone from her room on Nov. 8.

Lady Lake police officers were able to track the iPhone to a location in Wildwood where Monique Denise Douglas, who had been the attending housekeeper at Villages Rehab on the day of the theft, resides. Douglas told police she took the iPhone but discarded it in the woods on the day she took it.

She is now facing a charge of grand theft. She is free on $2,000 bond and faces arraignment Dec. 8 in Lake County Court.
