Conceptual landscaping plans for the retail site of the new Stein Mart store off U.S. Hwy. 27/441 received approval Wednesday evening from the Lady Lake Parks, Recreation and Tree Advisory Committee.

Stein Mart is planning a 52,000-square-foot building at Lady Lake Crossing behind the new McDonalds and Tire Kingdom. The conceptual landscaping plan also included plans for a 4,000-square-foot building to be located between McDonalds and Tire Kingdom. What will be located in that retail space has yet to be announced.

The seven-acre shopping center site will include a variety of trees including Live Oaks, Magnolia and Crepe Myrtles.

A date when construction might begin has not yet been made public.
