Ben Kramer, 91, passed away, Saturday, March 14, 2015. He had lived in The Villages almost 10 years, moving here from Westchester County, NY. Ben enjoyed sailing, reading, traveling abroad, going to yard sales and loved animals. A veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army Air Corps; he was lucky to have just completed the Honor Flight to Washington, DC in 2014. Ben was very adventurous and in his 80’s, parachuted out of an airplane. He was preceded in death by two wives, Marion and Jean. He is survived by his sons, Michael Kramer, South Carolina, Bill Kramer; daughter, Kathlein Becker, both of The Villages; six grandchildren, Bobby, Kimberly, Jonathon, Meredith, Samantha, Dawn and two great grandchildren, Max, Cole and his beloved dog, Gypsy.
The family will receive friends from 3 – 5 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, Florida 32159. Mr. Kramer was cremated and his remains will be scattered at sea.
