Marine Corps League of Villages delivers $6,160 check to help injured military and their families

Members of the Marine Corps League Detachment from The Villages delivered a $6,160 check Thursday to Operation Helping Hand at the Haley VA Hospital in Tampa.

Villager Ralph Hoffman presented the check to Capt. Bob Silah (US Navy, Retired), president of Operation Helping Hand.

Operation Helping Hand provides assistance for active duty military patients and families.

The Villages Marine Corps League has been a longtime supporter of Operation Helping Hand. The Villages group pays monthly visits to military personnel at the medical facility. They deliver flowers and gift packages to the patients and their families.
