A Village of Palo Alto woman is being held on $5,000 bond at the Lake County Jail following her arrest by Lady Lake police.

Kathleen Marie Unrath, 41, of 1902 Antonia Place, was arrested early Friday morning on a charge of driving while license suspended. She is classified as a habitual offender.

She has a long history of traffic-related arrests.

Unrath had been spotted driving Feb. 12 on NE 107th Boulevard at County Road 100. The Sumter County sheriff’s deputy who spotted her had arrested her one month earlier. Both times she was arrested for driving without a license. She pleaded no contest on March 9 in Sumter County Court. She was sentenced to 150 days in jail and ordered to pay $1,437.54 in fines and court costs.

In January of this year, Unrath was cited on charge of open container while a passenger in a vehicle.

On April 22, 2013, she had also offered a plea of no contest in Sumter County Court to a charge of driving while license suspended. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail and ordered to pay $1,100.50 in fines and court costs.

On Oct. 10, 2010, Unrath pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while license suspended. She was fined and ordered to driving school.

On Dec. 17, 2007, Unrath was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence. In that case, she was ordered to undergo drug and alcohol evaluation, her driver’s license was revoked for six months, she was put on probation for one year, she was ordered to perform 50 hours of community service and her vehicle was impounded for 10 days. She later violated her probation in that case.
