A 19-year-old was jailed on $12,000 bond after he allegedly stole two motorcycles and sold them through Facebook.

Casey Robert Dean of Fruitland Park allegedly stole two dirt bike-style motorcycles from a garage in Fruitland Park, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.

Dean negotiated a trade for one of the dirt bikes in which he received an Xbox 360 and $50. He exchanged the second dirt bike in the Sam’s parking lot in Lady Lake. Dean received a pressure washer in that trade, the arrest report indicated. Both trades were negotiated through Facebook.

When police interviewed Dean on Tuesday, he admitted taking the dirt bikes telling an officer, “it was just a crazy idea” and that he planned on “learning from it.”

He is facing a felony charge of grand theft.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail.
