A 33-year-old Orlando woman is free on $4,000 bond after she allegedly stole and then pawned more than $2,700 in merchandise from Kohl’s in Lady Lake.

Jessica N. Jewett entered the store with a man at about 6 p.m. March 30 and took several Sonic Care electric toothbrushes, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

The pair got into a car waiting at the front door and left the scene, the arrest report indicated. Store personnel were able to get the license plate of the vehicle which turned out to be registered to Jewett. A check showed that Jewett had made 126 individual pawns of similar items at pawn shops in Orange and Seminole counties dating back to April 27, 2013. She also has three previous arrests in similar cases, the report indicated.

Jewett is facing charges of organized fraud and grand theft. She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting bond.
