District Property Management will begin its Hydrilla treatments 30 days early this year.
A crew from Clark Aquatic Services was out on Lake Sumter this past week, checking water depth and collecting Hydrilla samples to test for chemical resistance.
“Ponds are going to be a challenge this summer,” said Sam Wartinbee of District Property Management.
The warm winter is a major contributing factor, he said.
A crew from Clark Aquatic Services has also been out treating some ponds for algae.
