To the Editor:

Everyone from contractors, public service, and the public et-al use that bridge. My question is who decides that a few people who live in The Villages, south of 466A are the ones elected to foot the bill? Isn’t the engineering firm and the county or state agencies who approved the plan responsible? Therefore, should not the general public of Sumter County make it right? The romans two thousand years ago built a bridge across the Rhine River to invade gaul that river has a very fast flow! One would think with modern technology, a body of water with very little flow could be permanently fixed. By the way, when years later the romans were done with the mile long bridge, they dismantled it so the Germans could not invade Rome.
