Even Reagan believed civilians don’t need to have AK/AR-15s

To the Editor:

“Whell”… Mr. Penix (read original Opinion piece HERE), perhaps our beloved Ronald Reagan was unaware that an AK 47 is not a “machine gun”, but I would think a veteran such as yourself would know this basic fact. The AK 47 available to civilians in America are “semi-automatic.” Fully automatic guns (“machine guns”) are presently and always have been banned for the civilian market.

Further, Mr. Reagan was not engaged in flooding America with thousands of illegal, Muslim refugees –  many of which will bring harm to Americans using an AK 47 as their weapon of choice (legally obtained or otherwise).

Thanks Mr. Penix but I really don’t care to have people like you defining what the 2nd Amendment means.  For most of us, it’s meaning is very clear.
