A 20-year-old arrested with a Victoria’s Secret purse containing heroin, tried to pass off the handbag as belonging to her mother.

Lorissa Ann Webb of Oxford had been a passenger in a Volkswagen Jetta at about noon Sunday on County Road 466 when a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy pulled the car over for having a tinted windshield. A K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating the presence of drugs.

A search of the purse turned up $565 in cash and a Coach wallet containing straws and a ziplock bag containing heroin.

“The purse is not mine, it is my mom’s and she has a bad drug habit,” Webb told a deputy.

The driver of the vehicle said the purse belonged to Webb who was arrested on a felony charge of drug possession and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug equipment.

She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $6,000 bond.
