Man free on bond in attack on woman, back behind bars on new drug charge

An Oxford man free on bond in an alleged attack on a woman, has been arrested on a new drug charge.

William Lolley, 29, has been charged with 28-year-old Dustin Mayo of Wildwood in the September attack on a woman that sent her to Leesburg Regional Medical Center. Mayo has been charged with sexually assaulting the woman who had been drugged. Lolley is charged with attacking the woman and stealing her wallet containing her driver’s license and credit card. Lolley had been a passenger in a car that was pulled over by Leesburg police Tuesday night on U.S. Hwy. 441. He had been sitting in the backseat between a woman and a toddler, according to the arrest report. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

When he was being fingerprinted, it was discovered that Lolley had given officers a false name. It was also discovered he was wanted on a Sumter County warrant charging him with failure to appear.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $4,000.
