A 77-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly threw food at and struck her husband Thursday evening in the Village of De La Vista.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called at about 6:50 p.m. to a home on Del Rosario Street after the husband of Marion Elizabeth Magnone called law enforcement.

He said they had been arguing when the altercation occurred and he attempted to get her to sit down on the couch in the living room, according to an arrest report.

It appeared Marion Magnone had been drinking, the report indicated. She claimed the altercation erupted after her husband showed his friends a nude picture of his late wife, the arrest report said.

She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $1,000 bond. She was released at 12:45 p.m. Friday after posting bond.
