Woman arrested after allegedly walking out of Beall’s in brand new pair of boots

A 32-year-old Ocala woman was arrested Thursday after allegedly walking out of Beall’s in Lady Lake wearing a brand new pair of boots for which she had not paid.

Amanda Iamcometta entered the store on U.S. Hwy. 441 at about 6 p.m. put on the boots and walked out without paying for them, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A male companion, 31-year-old Ryan David Lavigne of Ocala, had picked up LED lights and left the store without paying for them, the report indicated.

Both were arrested on charges of petit theft and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
