Firefighters called to blaze at Lakeside Landings

Multiple firefighting units responded shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday to a blaze at Lakeside Landings in Oxford.

Flames and heavy black smoke were seen coming from an area near an entry gate at the condominium complex located south of County Road 472.

A resident reportedly called 911. Witnesses said they heard a popping sound and then an explosion.

Wildwood police responded to the scene and temporarily blocked off traffic, even to Lakeside Landings residents.
