A man was jailed on $10,000 bond after he was caught driving with a revoked driver’s license.
Shawn Lee Armstrong, 38, of Fruitland Park, was spotted making a left turn on a red light at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at U.S. Hwy. 441 and County Road 109, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. During a traffic stop, Armstrong admitted to a deputy that his driver’s license was suspended due to a DUI arrest. He also was arrested by Lady Lake police in 2014 after a brief chase.
He was arrested on a felony charge driving while license permanently revoked and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
