A couple in the Village of Glenbrook is staying with friends after discovering a large sinkhole right outside their front door in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

The couple, who has resided in The Villages for about a dozen years, “heard a noise” and spotted the sinkhole at their home on Galesburg Court.

The couple has also been without power.

It is one of several sinkholes that have opened up here in Florida Friendliest Hometown after Hurricane Irma dumped as many as 10 inches of rain on parts of The Villages.
