Beeping horns in Lake Deaton

To the Editor:

My house backs up to Warnock in Lake Deaton. Specifically, my bedroom backs up to Warnock. There is a sweet couple that sits outside most of the day in their chairs. They wave at the cars that go by, which is perfectly fine. The problem lies with the cars that start beeping their horns about 3 houses before they reach the couple, and some continue to beep several houses after passing the couple.  I thought about putting a sign up saying, “Wave, don’t beep,” but thought it would be against some code.  If I want to rest in the afternoon, I must go to the front of my house, because the horns beep so often.  Is there anything that can be done about this?
My neighbors have all complained about the beeping. This is supposed to be a quiet retirement community.
