Suspected bra thief busted at Bealls

A suspected bra thief was busted Thursday afternoon at Bealls in Lady Lake.

Stacy Ann Booth, 31, of Fruitland Park, entered the store on U.S. 441 and selected three bras, three women’s shirts and two men’s shirts before going into a fitting room, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

She concealed the items and then went to pay for one of the men’s shirts, the report indicated.

She was arrested on a charge of petit theft and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $500.
