Man riding Harley-Davidson motorcycle arrested for not having proper endorsement

A man riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was arrested for not having the proper endorsement on his driver’s license.

Thomas John Leroy, 57, of Wildwood, was riding the motorcycle shortly after 11 p.m. Friday on U.S. 301 when he was caught on radar traveling at 66 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

An officer found that Leroy did not have the proper endorsement on his driver’s license to be riding the motorcycle. In addition, the officer found that Leroy had been arrested on Aug. 24 in Marion County for riding a motorcycle without the proper endorsement.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $500 bond.
