Three men to answer in court after drunken brawl at Villages nightspot

Three men will have to answer in court after a drunken brawl at a nightspot in The Villages.

The owner of Margarita Republic in Spanish Springs Town Square called law enforcement at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday when he spotted the three men fighting on the outdoor patio area of the establishment, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

All three men “appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and had a strong smell of an alcoholic beverage emanating from them,” the arrest report said.

The men were identified as:

• Franklin Hubbard, 27, of Dearborn, Mich.

• Ryan Moran, 33, of Apollo Beach.

• Andres De La Cruz, 31, of Jacksonville.

The report indicated that De La Cruz had been kicking Hubbard and Moran as they were rolling on the ground during the altercation. An officer grabbed  De La Cruz and put him against the hood of a nearby car. Other bar patrons attempted to separate Hubbard and Moran.

The arrest report described the trio as “mutual combatants.”

All three were released after been issued notices to appear in Lake County Court.
