Villager named new finance director at Villages District Office

A Villager has been named the new finance director at the Villages District Office.

Anne Hochsprung’s hiring became official on Monday. She succeeds Kenneth Blocker who was recently promoted to assistant district manager.

Hochsprung spent much of her career to date in the healthcare industry. She started her career in public accounting with KPMG before beginning her more than 25 year career in public service at an acute care hospital in Largo. She later transitioned to the hospice industry in Pinellas County and most recently Alachua County.

She grew up in a suburb of Chicago and attended Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. She has two boys, two grandchildren and enjoys traveling and the outdoors.

Golf course deserves a failing grade
