Villager flying high after waiting 58 years for first hole-in-one

It took 58 years on the links but Pete Stafford achieved every golfer’s dream Wednesday – a hole-in-one.

Villager Pete Stafford scored a hole-in-one on the Seminole Course at Belle Glade Country Club on Wednesday – a feat he thought would never happen.

The Villager said he thought he’d never achieve the feat that eludes so many golfers.

“I was so excited I felt like flying!” Stafford said. “I was beginning to think I’d never do it.”

Stafford’s ace came on the ninth hole at hole the Seminole Course at Belle Glade Country Club. He used a 6 iron to make the perfect 135-yard shot.
