Stonecrester banned from Belk after alleged pricetag-switching incident

A Stonecrester has been banned from Belk after an alleged pricetag-switching incident.

Patricia Jorgensen, 66, on the afternoon of Dec. 2 entered the store at La Plaza Grande in The Villages, where she swapped pricetags on a watch and a Crown and Ivy shirt, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. She was charged $21.98 when the purchase price should have been $37.18.

Jorgensen told police that “she was upset because the coupon she had planned on using excluded the items” on which the pricetags had been switched, the report said.

She was issued a notice to appear in Lake County Court and has been banned from Belk.
