Lady Lake man arrested after showing up at woman’s home on Eagles Nest Road

Josh Brady Chaney

A Lady Lake man was arrested after showing up at a woman’s home on Eagles Nest Road in Fruitland Park.

Josh Brady Chaney, 31, was arrested early Wednesday morning at a Circle K station in Leesburg on a probation violation.

He aroused concern of law enforcement when he showed up at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at the woman’s home, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. He arrived in a silver GMC SUV and was captured on the woman’s home surveillance system. He walked to her front door without ringing the doorbell and appeared to be talking to someone on his cell phone. He looked into the window of her vehicle. He then drove away.

The woman did not know Chaney.

The woman showed the surveillance to law enforcement and a deputy recognized Chaney.

He was tracked down and taken into custody. He was booked without bond at the Lake County Jail.

Chaney had been arrested in February with methamphetamine in the theft of copper wire from property near The Villages.
