Wildwood man arrested after brawl with longtime live-in girlfriend

A Wildwood man was arrested after a brawl with his longtime live-in girlfriend.

Police were called at 6:53 p.m. Saturday to a home in the 400 block of Kilgore Street, where a woman said she had been pushed into a recliner by 27-year-old Jarvis Jenod Williams, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. He allegedly held her down and she ripped his shirt in an attempt to get away. She said she feared that Williams was going to strangle her. Williams was found sitting on the front porch when police arrived.

The arrest report indicated that the couple has been in a relationship for several years.

He was arrested on a charge of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
