Wildwood teen lands behind bars after allegedly shoving woman who would not leave his property

Xavier Preston Breckon

A Wildwood teenager landed behind bars after allegedly shoving a woman who would not leave his property.

A witness contacted the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office after seeing the altercation that took place shortly before 2 p.m. Monday at a mobile home on County Road 143, not too far from Okahumpka Park.

The woman said she had been shoved in the area of her shoulder blades and was knocked to the ground by 19-year-old Xavier Preston Breckon, according to the arrest report. She suffered scratches on her forehead.

Breckon claimed the woman would not leave his property and “they bumped into each other,” the report said.

He was arrested on a charge of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.

He had been arrested in September on a marijuana possession charge.
