A Lady Lake woman was jailed on Christmas Day after allegedly lying to law enforcement about her identity.
Destinee Rose Keen, 26, of 3828 Griffin Ave., had been a passenger in a silver Volkswagen shortly before 2 a.m. Christmas Day on U.S. Hwy. 441 near Citizens First Bank in Leesburg when the vehicle was pulled over by Lake County sheriff’s deputies. During the traffic stop, Keen initially attempted to give deputies a false name, because she knew she was wanted on a Lake County warrant charging her with failure to appear on a charge of violating her probation on a charge of marijuana possession.
Keen was arrested on a charge of providing a false name to law enforcement.
She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $3,500 bond.
